Looking to sink your teeth into something meaty this summer? Forget about the same old hamburger hockey pucks and burned hot dogs. Go with something truly succulent and tasty: barbecue meatballs! The Butcher Shop has all the fresh ground beef you need to craft the perfect meatball with a twist. We use only locally sourced meat to add a tasty and fresh taste to your summer barbecue this season. You can choose whatever barbecue sauce you like, of which there are many varieties, from sweet to hot.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup onion (chopped or diced)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 bottle barbecue sauce
Directions:
First off, this recipe makes about eight servings depending on how big you make the meatballs. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Then, mix up the beef, bread crumbs, onion, milk, salt and eggs in a large bowl until well blended. Shape them into medium sized meatballs, about an inch in diameter. Put the meatballs into a baking dish, preferably one that measures 9×13 inches. Let bake for about a half hour. Take out of the oven and drizzle barbecue sauce (we sell it!) of your choice over all the meatballs. Return to the oven for another half hour. If you want to get them crispy, place on the grill for a few minutes on each side, and serve hot. If you want them to stay warm and soft, put them in a crockpot so they stay hot throughout your cookout.
