Easter is already peeking around the corner, and along with all the fluffy bunnies, chocolate eggs, and jelly beans, you’ll need your holiday ham fix! Come get your traditional Easter ham at The Butcher Shop in Eagle Point. Not sure how you want to prepare it this year? Check out this recipe for a super-simple slow cooker ham:
- 1 (6 pound) bone-in ham
- 30 whole cloves
- 3 cups apple cider
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp nutmeg
- 2 tsp ginger
- 2 tbsp cloves
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 citrus peel
Directions:
Press the cloves into the ham evenly, then place the ham into the slow cooker. Pour apple cider into the pot, with about two inches remaining above the ham. Coat the ham with the brown sugar and pour the syrup and remaining ingredients in as well. Put the cover on and turn the heat to low. Cook for eight to 10 hours. It doesn’t get any easier than that!
