Pulled Pork Sliders

When it comes to food for the big game, everyone wants something hearty, crowd-pleasing, and, most importantly, easy. These pulled pork sliders deliver. They’re easy to prep ahead, perfect for feeding a crowd, and guaranteed to disappear before halftime. Bonus: starting with pulled pork from The Butcher Shop means you won’t be stuck in the kitchen all day. Served with potato chips, baked beans, or mac and cheese, pulled pork sliders are the MVP of stress-free game day cooking.

Recipe for Pulled Pork Sliders

Ingredients:

  • 1½ pounds TBS pulled pork (any flavor)
  • ¾ to 1 cup BBQ sauce, plus more for serving
  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1½ cups coleslaw (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted (optional, for toasting buns)

Directions:

1. Warm the Pulled Pork
In a medium saucepan or skillet, heat the pulled pork over medium heat. Stir in ¾ cup of BBQ sauce and cook until heated through, about 5 minutes. Add a splash of broth or water if it seems dry.

2. Toast the Buns (optional)
Brush the cut sides of the slider buns with melted butter. Place them on a skillet or under the broiler for 1–2 minutes or until lightly golden.

3. Assemble and Serve
Spoon about ¼ cup of the pulled pork onto each bottom bun, top with 2 tablespoons of coleslaw, and finish with the top bun. Serve warm with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Tips & Variations:

  • DIY slider bar: Set out toppings like pickles, jalapenos, cheese, and different BBQ sauces so everyone can build their own.
  • Make them spicy: Stir 1–2 tablespoons of hot sauce or a ½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper into the pulled pork while it heats.
  • Crisp the pork: After heating, spread the pulled pork on a baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes to get crispy edges similar to a BBQ joint.
