Chicken Parmesan Burgers

Chicken parmesan is a classic dish, but it’s not always the quickest to assemble. Turning it into a burger streamlines the process without losing any of the flavors you love. Chicken parmesan burgers pack savory, crispy chicken, tangy marinara, gooey mozzarella, and fresh basil into a toasted bun. The delicious mash-up is perfect for weeknight dinners, weekend cookouts, or any time you’re craving Italian-inspired comfort food with a bit of flair.

Recipe for Chicken Parmesan Burgers

Ingredients:

For the chicken patties:

  • 1 lb TBS ground chicken
  • ½ cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs (regular also works)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For assembly:

  • 4 burger buns (toasted)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Optional: extra Parmesan for sprinkling

Directions:

1. Mix and Shape the Patties
Combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, and seasonings in a bowl. Mix until just combined, then shape into 4 equal patties.

2. Cook the Patties
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F).

3. Add the Marinara and Cheese
Spoon a little marinara over each patty, then top with mozzarella. Cover the skillet for a minute or two until the cheese melts.

4. Assemble the Burgers
Place each patty on a toasted bun. Add more marinara if you like, then top with fresh basil leaves, and sprinkle with a little extra Parmesan.

5. Serve and Enjoy
Pair your chicken parmesan burgers with a crisp side salad, garlic fries, or roasted veggies.
